We are excited to announce that Ryder Scott Company, L.P. and Lumina Geophysical, LLC have formed a strategic alliance to deliver advanced integrated studies and services in Mexico!
This partnership brings together Ryder Scott’s 20+ years of expertise across all producing basins in Mexico - spanning reserves certification, reservoir simulation, field development, and other technical studies - with Lumina’s extensive experience in Mexico and advanced geophysical capabilities, including seismic processing, 3D modeling, reservoir characterization, and proprietary quantitative interpretation technologies. Together, we are poised to provide unmatched insights into exploration and production in the region.

SPE-PRMS Guidelines Now Available in Spanish!
Exciting news for the global energy community! The Society of Petroleum Engineers International has officially released the Spanish translation of the SPE-PRMS Application Guidelines.
A heartfelt thank you to the SPE Oil and Gas Reserves Committee (OGRC) for their unwavering dedication to this project.
This translation is a valuable resource for Spanish-speaking professionals, furthering the accessibility and adoption of the PRMS framework worldwide.

New Executive Committee Announced
Ryder Scott Company, L.P., a leading independent global oil and gas consulting firm, is excited to announce the promotion of Guadalupe (Guale) Ramirez to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and Herman Acuña to President, effective April 1, 2023. Guale Ramirez, who has been with Ryder Scott since 1981, boasts over 47 years of industry experience. His career began as a petroleum engineer, and he has played a significant role in evaluating major oil and gas basins worldwide, contributing greatly to the firm’s international expansion. Herman Acuña, with Ryder Scott since 1997, has over 35 years of experience and has been instrumental in leading management consulting services and overseeing the Sustainable Energy Division. Ryder Scott expresses gratitude to Dean Rietz for his years of dedicated service as Chairman and CEO from 2019 to 2023. The company, founded in 1937, continues to provide expert guidance from its headquarters in Houston, with branches in Denver and Calgary.
